Today, on her first working day as the new president of Croatia, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović extended a special invitation to Fr Jozo Zovko OFM, former parish priest of Medjugorje at the outset of the phenomenon, to bless the Presidential Office at the Presidential Palace.
“I wanted the house to be blessed” said the Croatian President on her Facebook page.
A day earlier, when she officially took office, Kolinda Grabar-Kitarović arrived unexpectedly and without notice at Zagreb Cathedral to attend Mass and receive ashes.
Croatia’s new President is no stranger to Medjugorje. She visited the town and the Cilic family residence last September after their son Marin won the 2014 US grand slam tennis tournament.
